10 Great Movies With Iconic Colour Palettes

8. The Baby Of Macon (1993)

UGCUGCThe Baby Of Macon is an underrated and extremely underknown gem from 1993. As an early film for both Julia Ormond and Ralph Fiennes, the film is as unique in narrative as it is stylistically. Directed by Peter Greenaway, the movie explores corruption on all levels of society and it uses colour as a semiotic tool to describe both the corruption and the purity of the characters around the film. The cinematography of Sacha Vierny is a standout pillar of success that, admittedly, holds up the less successful parts of the film, but that is no reason to avoid seeking out this brilliant film - especially if you have a taste for colour and a desire to see cinematic visual brilliance.
