While podcast and comedy writing fans may already have been familiar, for most audiences, Chelsea Peretti was the breakout star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. As civilian administrator Gina Linetti, Peretti shone in a role written for her, delivering many of the show’s best quips in her inimitable style.

Peretti came to acting as a main hustle late in a career spent mainly onstage or as a writer, but landed a starring role in 2019’s Spinster, playing a single woman reassessing the choices she has made as she approaches 40.
