Throughout Teen Wolf's six-season run, actor Seth Gilliam portrayed Scott's mentor Dr Deaton. Outside of the show, he starred in the indie drama Still Alice which was released in 2014. The film performed exceptionally well on both the awards circuit and also at the box office. If you've seen it, you'll know why. It's great in every sense.
Julianne Moore portrays the titular Alice who is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's shortly after her 50th birthday. Based on the novel of the same name by Lisa Genova, Still Alice is a poignant film that highlights the devastating impacts of this silent disease.
Seth stars as Frederic Johnson, a professor at UCLA who introduces fellow professor Alice to the stage to perform a guest lecture. This is when Alice has her first memory slip. Seth's role in the film is small and fleeting but his confident and measured performance leads us into the film's key turning point.
