8. Westworld (2016 - Present) - Phoebe Tonkin
Phoebe Tonkin more notably portrayed Hayley Marshall in The Vampire Diaries' spin-off The Originals, although the character did debut in The Vampire Diaries' fourth season and appeared across eight episodes. Outside of her work within The Vampire Diaries universe, Phoebe landed the role of Penny in HBO's major hit Westworld.
It's a bold claim, but Westworld is one of the best shows on TV. The first season centres around a futuristic form of theme park where guests can enter the Wild West and do whatever they please to the Hosts (i.e. robots) that inhabit it.
Things aren't that simple though and the scope of the world we cover and the Hosts' sentience grows with each season. Phoebe's character Penny - a wealthy socialite - pops up in the show's third season.
Westworld isn't a light watch and boasts complex (and sometimes downright confusing) storytelling, but it definitely pays off if you have the patience to bear with the occasional mind-boggle.
The show has an impressive cast and, if you've seen Game of Thrones, you know that HBO spare no expenses so the production value of Westworld is exceptionally lavish. If you have the time and concentration, you should definitely give this one a go.
