9. Roswell, New Mexico (2019 - Present) - Michael Trevino
Much like Nina Dobrev, Michael Trevino left The Vampire Diaries after portraying werewolf Tyler Lockwood for six of the show's eight seasons. Following his departure, the actor found a new home on a fellow CW show - Roswell, New Mexico.
In addition to being on the same network as The Vampire Diaries, Roswell also shares the show's creatives Carina Adly MacKenzie and Julie Plec, meaning Roswell, New Mexico has a similar tone to that of The Vampire Diaries.
Roswell, New Mexico centres on the character of Liz who discovers that her crush Max is in fact an alien and soon the town will be subject to evil alien threats. The show is based on Melinda Metz's Roswell High book series and the 1991 TV show Roswell. Michael portrays Kyle, a doctor within the town and the son of Roswell's sheriff.
In comparison to 1991's Roswell, the 2019 reboot does little to add anything new besides some modern social context. Still, if you're unfamiliar with this world, then Roswell, New Mexico is a gripping supernatural drama. With the show's fourth season set to debut next year, now is the perfect time to binge the first three seasons.
