10 Great Movies With "Rotten" Scores On Rotten Tomatoes
4. Taken (2009)
Taken is an action packed tale of revenge that holds a Rotten score of 55%. It’s tough to know what to write here, because Taken is obviously great, right?
Man has daughter kidnapped. Man vows to find daughter. Man vows to kill those responsible. And he does. That age-old story.
There’s not much to it other than that, but it really doesn’t matter. The action is brutal, the baddies are jerks and, yeah, they all get killed. Apologies for lack of spoiler warning.
At ninety minutes it’s a tight, slick, fast-paced thriller that never lets up. Liam Neeson is brilliant as the World’s Baddest Dad, and the whole thing is just good ol’ red-blooded fun.
Roger Ebert describes it as “high-class trash”. Yep. It is. Excellent.
