It is directed by Michael Gondry, who like David Fincher and Spike Jonze ventured into the realm of feature length film after a successful stint in the music video industry. Gondry€™s fantastical vision is embodied most famously in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. In the video we enter into Dave Grohl€™s dream world, which is inhabited by an abnormal mix of punk rockers and fashionable cosmopolitan types. When his woman (played convincingly by drummer Taylor Hawkins) is being harassed, Grohl €˜s hand swells to an enormous size and he uses it to swat away the bullies.
