9. Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse

In terms of positive reviews, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse was decidedly not a wildfire of success. The zombie-comedy earned a meagre approval rating of 44% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics verbally bashing the film's undead brains in over everything from Christopher Landon's direction to the overall performance of the cast.

A critical reaction so negative that it practically bordered on aggression made the movie's widespread popularity amongst horror fans all the more surprising. In sharp contrast to the majority of its more formal reviews, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse's audience approval rating rockets to 85%, with fans full of glowing praise for the film's wicked sense of humor, gloriously gory action and a particularly badass turn from Sarah Dumont.

With that being said, it would be a pretty sh*t guide to a zombie apocalypse if none of the protagonists actually made it to the end - "Scout's Guide to Being Eviscerated Alive As You Scream For Mercy" might be more appropriate - meaning that it is hardly surprising when the film's titular trio of Boy Scouts all ultimately survive the events of the night.

Frankly, it's the zombies who come off worse for wear throughout the course of the ludicrous narrative, with David Koechner's Scout Leader Rogers arguably clocking in as the movie's most high-profile human casualty in the early goings.
