10 Greatest Acting Performances In Comic Book Movies

2. Kevin Conroy - Batman (again)

It might seem strange trying to put two different actors on this list for the same role. How can someone be perfect for the role if someone else ended up doing that character better? Well, if Michael Keaton presented the most natural version of Batman on-screen, Kevin Conroy's voice is the ideal casting for the Caped Crusader that everyone deserves.

While this animated version of the character only saw one theatrical release - 1993's phenomenal Mask of the Phantasm - Conroy's voice has just the right gravelly timbre to mesh perfectly with both Bruce Wayne's business persona and Batman's intimidating presence. That's not to discount the actual execution of these lines either, with every other word feeling like another piece of brilliance.

Conroy's take on Batman feels real, almost like this is the voice that Bob Kane heard in his head when he was writing the Dark Knight in the first place.

Even though some people might like to poke fun at the sillier side of Batman: The Animated Series and its spin-offs, this was the first iteration of Batman that played to every single one of the character's strengths.
