10 Greatest Callbacks In MCU History

During the Battle for Earth between the Avengers and the rest of the universe’s forces for good, and Thanos, there were so many wonderful callbacks to earlier in the franchise. T’Challa called Clint by his name, Hope van Dyne called Steve Rogers Cap, and more.

Sadly there isn’t room on this list for all of them, but one of the best that absolutely has to make the cut is the return of the fallen heroes. First Steve began to get a broken-up, static message from the previously dead Sam Wilson before the first portal opened.

All those years ago, Steve Rogers just kept sprinting past Sam, with the obligatory “on your left” every time. This became an iconic saying among the MCU fandom, and was brought back in Endgame as Strange opened T’Challa, Shuri, and Okoye’s portal to Cap’s left.

If you ignore the logistics of how this came to be, of the conversation Sam must have had with Doctor Strange explaining the importance of the phrase and why the portal must be opened on Steve’s left and nowhere else, this moment was utterly epic.
