10 Greatest Captain America Moments In The MCU
3. Thanos Throwdown - Infinity War
It's pretty much a no-brainer for a Cap list to be full of references from his own films, but the real magic comes in when the Avengers all meet in one place. For every badass thing these heroes do, you always need someone at the helm to keep things together. Since Infinity War needed Earth's mightiest heroes to come with all guns blazing, the Battle of Wakanda shows Steve Rogers at his fullest potential.
In the grand scheme of things, Rogers really doesn't have too much to do in Infinity War other than fight, but his combat skills are something to behold. From the first time Thanos' army crash lands on Earth, the way in which Cap runs towards his foes faster than the rest of the Avengers speaks volumes about his desire to protect those he loves.
It's one thing to be able to fight an entire army with a beard as epic as his, but the real crux of the movie comes when Steve takes on Thanos himself.
Up until this point, we have already seen Thanos tear apart Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, and the Guardians, but the way in which Cap is able to push the Infinity Gauntlet is enough to make even the Titan rethink his attack strategy. Thanos may have gotten exactly what he wanted in the end, but this little moment showed that Cap would have laid down his life for the world if it meant stopping Thanos.
