10 Greatest Easter-Themed Horror Movies
1. Dead Snow
Let’s get one thing out of the way with Dead Snow: the only
real link to Easter in this Norwegian splatter horror is that it takes place
during an Easter skiing trip. But the time of year does make the perfect
setting for resurrecting the dead which is exactly what happens in Dead Snow
but with a squad of Nazi zombies rather than Jesus. And we could use a break
from all the killer bunny movies.
After a group of medical students take a much-needed break at a remote cabin and stumble across a hoard of old treasure left over from the days of Norway’s Nazi occupation they unwittingly awaken said Nazi undead led by the evil SS Officer Herzog who will stop at nothing to reclaim their precious riches.
There’s also a sequel – Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead – that has sweet f**k all to with Easter but you should still watch too because it’s just as much gory fun and features not only Nazi zombies but Soviet POW zombies too. Twice the wartime zombie fun!
