This classic 1993 science fiction action adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg centring on the story of scientists visiting a safari amusement park of genetically modified dinosaurs who eventually run loose causing havoc and chaos on the island is as close to a classic as you'll ever get. It's the ultimate summer blockbuster and a towering achievement in CGI from a time before all of the modern advances had even been made.

Jurassic Park has gone on to become a pop culture classic and is one of Spielberg's most notable works. And watching it back today, it's just an infectious.

The director had wanted to push the envelope with the creatures in the film, making his star dinosaurs as realistic - and in some cases as terrifying - as possible. Some of Hollywood’s best artists and designers spent a year on research, consulting with museums, paleontologists and texts on prehistoric creatures. The designs culminated in the iconic T-Rex within the film, which became one of film's most notable creatures.
