10 Greatest Ever Minimalist Movie Posters

9. Finding Nemo

Finding Nemo Poster There have been several artist's variations on this motif, though Matt Bacon's is for my money the best in being the most simplistic and, yes, minimalist. Finding Nemo is, as we all know, about a young clownfish, Nemo, who ends up being separated from his terrified parents - a little fish in a big pond if you will, a notion that this poster conveys with pitch-perfect precision. It doesn't need a fancy typeface or any big tricks; it's just a copy-and-paste job for the fish pattern, and then it hits you; Nemo is there too, the iconic orange-and-white nestled among among the crowd. Though the poster might not explicitly tell us that the film is an animation - and that's why studios would never dare employ a poster like this - it's still great fun for fans of the movie, whether young or adult.
