10 Greatest Ever Minimalist Movie Posters

6. Reservoir Dogs

Reservoir Dogs Postertysmiff07 concocted this clever poster for Quentin Tarantino's debut feature that's fascinating because of the very specific image that it conjures in our heads. The coloured ties of course refer to the various coloured codenames of the thieves, but what's more interesting is that their placement next to one another instantly makes us think of the iconic opening scene in which the suited-up criminals strut down the street in slow motion to George Baker's unforgettable tune, Little Green Bag. The arrangement of colours is so endemic to Tarantino's film that even without the text at the bottom, casual filmgoers would have a decent shot at being able to guess what it is. Genius.
