10 Greatest 'I'm Dead And I Know It' Moments In Supernatural Horror Movies

4. Jennifer Caulfield - A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

The Fog Father Malone Hal Holbrook
New Line Cinema

It's hard to think of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 and not immediately start humming Dokken's banging Dream Warriors theme tune. Likewise, it's hard not to instantly remember Freddy Krueger's famed "Welcome to prime time, bitch!" line.

Played by Penelope Sudrow, Jennifer Caulfield has a death that it clearly one of the franchise's more memorable ones, but also an indicator of how the Elm Street series was looking to grasp onto mainstream pop culture - as shown by how the franchise would eventually become a winking parody of itself.

For mental patient Jennifer, she manages to wangle herself a little exclusive TV time. But, as is so often the case with Elm Street pictures, Sudrow's character soon nods off; finding herself dreaming of becoming a Hollywood starlet.

When Jennifer hits the TV after it starts showing static, mechanical Freddy arms burst from the side of the set, the head of Robert Englund's Krueger appears, and it's then that Jennifer realises she's about to become this twisted child killer's latest victim - all as Freddy delivers the aforementioned "Welcome to prime time, bitch!" quip.
