10 Greatest James Bond Themes In The History of the Franchise

4. Thunderball - Tom Jones

Another last minute miracle, Thunderball€™s main title was supposed to be a song entitled €œMr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang€. Instead, the eleventh hour provided a hard belting masterpiece of villainous intent, performed by Sir Tom Jones. (Note to all of you who plan to be knighted by the Queen: it doesn€™t hurt to get involved with the Bond franchise.) Lines like €œHe knows the meaning of success. His needs are more, so he gives less.€, €œThey call him the winner who takes all.€, and €œAny woman he wants, he€™ll get. He€™ll break any heart without regret.€, signify one cold handed man who wants to rule all. Strangely enough, this could also apply to the equally cold handed man who wants to defend it all against such a threat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sT0x7QiJI1g The experience of this song is so intense, it€™s rumored that Sir Tom belted the final notes so powerfully that he passed out in the process. The audience is dared to listen to that section of the piece, and try to argue against such a claim.
