9. Lurtz
An Uruk-hai captain, he was created by Saruman in one of the breeding experiments conducted by the wizard. Being a cross between an orc and a man, he isn't affected by the sun like normal orcs. He is the main henchman in The Fellowship Of The Ring.
He was sent by Saruman to stop the fellowship and bring him the hobbits. He caught up with them at Amon Hen and managed to kill Boromir, giving him the distinction of adding another death to Sean Bean's career, as well as being the only person to kill a member of the fellowship.
Unfortunately he didn't get to enjoy it for long, as Aragorn swiftly decapitated him a minute later.
