10 Greatest MCU Villains Of 2021

9. Tyler Hayward

Agatha Harkness WandaVision
Marvel Studios

Acting Director of S.W.O.R.D. Tyler Hayward should not have been a villain in the MCU. He was the head of the organization Maria Rambeau built from the ground up to do some good, but simply put, he was not a good man. He was patronizing, manipulative, and incredibly deceitful.

When the missing person’s case in Westview turned out to be something so much bigger than was first thought, instead of listening to Monica, literally his best agent, he painted Wanda to be the villain. He even doctored security footage to fool his entire team into thinking she stole Vision’s body.

Even the way he referred to Vision as ‘The Vision' spoke of how he never truly considered the former Avenger as a person, but only as a weapon he could use for his own means. He essentially used Wanda as a scapegoat in order to greenlight bringing White Vision to life, something that was against both the Sokovia Accords and Vision’s living will.

When he finally breached the Hex, he tried to kill both Monica, someone with whom he worked closely before, and Wanda’s 'ten-year-old' children. There are some villains that fans just love to hate, and Hayward was certainly one, with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
