10 Greatest MCU Villains With No Powers

1. Erik Killmonger

The majority of villains in the MCU have ultimately been in search of their own personal gain or glory. There are a few exceptions, most notably Thanos who wanted to correct the universe, but there was also Erik Killmonger.

While he wanted to take the Wakandan throne for himself, this wasn’t the ultimate endgame. He wanted the throne so he could have the power to enact real change across the globe for his oppressed brothers and sisters, as Wakanda and T’Challa absolutely had the resources to do.

Of course, it certainly helped in his quest for the throne that he happened to be the King’s own cousin, but he had a lot to do to even get in the position to challenge T'Challa. He essentially killed his way across the world, trained himself up ready, and forced his way into becoming King. He was defeated all the same, as all villains ultimately are, but Killmonger’s loss was different.

He made enough of an impact on T’Challa, in that he was doing the right thing just in the wrong way, that he changed his cousin’s perspective, and thus changed the world. Wakanda would no longer shut itself and its resources off from those who needed it, fulfilling everything Killmonger ever wanted from the throne.
