The Fast & Furious series wasn't always the huge Hollywood institution it is today. It was once a series concerned with only one thing - car porn. Obviously, the series still features some extremely sexy cars, but the most recent films are all about witty (if slightly silly) dialogue, daring heists and over the top set pieces. One aspect that has always remained constant though, is the concept of family loyalty. You'd have to search pretty darn hard to find another film series that has as many testosterone-filled scenes as Fast & Furious.Vin Diesel and the sadly, recently departed Paul Walker's characters in the series may come to blows on numerous occasions, but regardless of the mounting conflict in each film in the series, loyalty is of utmost importance. If you learn anything from the action-packed series, it's that you should never leave a man behind. The close knit-nature of the "friends are the family you choose" mentality is almost gospel to these characters, and it's part of why the series still continues to draw in such large audiences. With the recent addition of the brick wall that is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to the cast, the series' family is continuously going from strength to strength.
