Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez's Sin City interweaves multiple storylines from the comic series' history. The most memorable was "The Hard Goodbye". The storyline follows Mickey Rourke as Marv, a ugly but tough son of a you-know-what. After hooking up with a working girl named Goldie (Jaime King), she is killed and Marv is left with the blame. What follows is Marv embarking on a brutal rampage in search of his one-time sweetheart's killer, killing anyone, even the police, if they get in his way of finding and killing her murderer. He eventually kills everybody involved but is sadly apprehended by the police. He's sentenced to death (via electric chair, of course). When they flip the switch the voltage doesn't kill him. Marv spits out blood as he mocks the officers. They finally succeed in killing Marv but not before he cements his spot as the most ultimate badass of all time. Did this article spark your memory?
