10 Greatest Opening Shots From Recent Movies

6. No Time To Die

The Green Knight
United Artists

No Time to Die begins the same way that most Bond movies do, with a gun-barrel opening in which 007 shoots at the screen, before we transition into the rest of the film.

But things are subtly different this time around, as when Bond (Daniel Craig) shoots at the screen, he ends up fading out to white, his dark figure evaporating against the white background, slyly hinting at the fate that awaits him at film's end.

Better still, the gunbarrel transitions effortlessly into the real first shot of the film - a gorgeous overhead drone shot of villain Safin (Rami Malek) trekking through the snowy Norwegian wilderness on his way to Madeleine Swann's (Léa Seydoux) home.

Considering how staid and firmly regimented the gunbarrel is in the annals of Bond, this was a neat way to do something different with it.
