10 Greatest R-Rated Comedy Films Of All Time

9. Team America: World Police

Team America is not for those of you with a prudish disposition. It's a Marmite choice; you either love it or you hate it. Most of us love it of course, but there are people out there who criticise it left, right and centre. Then again, name me a film in which the mockery of one of the biggest human rights abusers hasn't been lambasted in controversy. Thought of one? Didn't think so. Though for Trey Parker and Matt Stone, controversy isn't anything they're new to. The co-creators of South Park described the development of Team America as exhausting, vowing never to make another film again. Indeed, to date, neither of the duo has written or directed anything since. If this is the last we see of Stone and Parker on the silver screen in a creative sense, then what a way to bow out. With montages, sex scenes, puke scenes, mass celebrity deaths and even the absolute annihilation of the French capital, Team America: World Police has it all and so rightly takes its place in this list.
