8. Zombieland
Tired of the 21st century zombie trend? Well tough, because zombies are here to stay; though, for the time being, preferably in screen form. If truth be told, 2009's
Zombieland somewhat jumped on the bandwagon. The zombie phase was drawing to a close and had all but blown away. Thankfully for us cinemagoers,
Zombieland crept in to reignite our fascination with the undead. Chronicling the story of Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) and his stateside escapades with badass cowboy Tallahassee (Woddy Harrelson) and mean chick Wichita (Emma Stone),
Zombieland featured some of the most comical zombie scenes to date. It was less about fear factor - although those opening 15 minutes were pretty stomach churning - and more about a '101 ways' style guide on how to survive a zombie attack without breaking a sweat. The inclusion of Bill Murray in particular was one of the most ingenious cameo appearances of recent years; the icing on the cake of a very satisfying R-Rated comedy.
