Although Alan Silvestri's work on Captain America was pretty great he managed to outdo himself with his theme for The Avengers, which manages to translate the thrill of seeing the superheroes team-up into music.
Avengers: Age Of Ultron makes us wait all the way to the end credits to hear the theme (Brian Tyler and Danny Elfman having taken over music duties from Silvestri) but when it appears over the title screen in The Avengers everything is perfectly assembled to make you squirm in your seat with emotion.
