10 Greatest Supporting Roles In Quentin Tarantino Films

9. Max Cherry (Robert Forster)

Max Cherry Perhaps the most underrated performance in all of Tarantino's catalogue. Max Cherry is the most sympathetic character that Tarantino has ever written since Robert Forster plays him with a very subtle touch that adds just the right amount of humor to him but also a deep layer of want and need to be loved. How many Tarantino characters can you say that about? Without him the whole structure of Jackie Brown would either fall apart or be dramatically dissatisfying. It's his performance that gives the audience a reason to root for Jackie to successfully complete her scheme so they can be together. He rightfully received a best supporting Oscar nomination, the only nomination for Jackie Brown.

My favorite movies are Before Sunrise, Pulp Fiction, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alien and Her so don't be surprised to see those pop up in my writing from time to time. I'm currently in school for Journalism/English and I have an obsession with all things cinematic on the side.
