10 Greatest Teams In MCU History
7. Team Iron Man
When the murder of King T’Chaka and the Sokovia Accords rocked the Avengers to their core, the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes were split down the middle. On the side of Tony Stark were his best friend Rhodey, Black Widow (to begin with), Vision, T’Challa, and Spider-Man.
Rhodey was never going to desert Tony, and the fact that he agreed whole-heartedly kept War Machine by Iron Man’s side. Similarly, Vision’s logic and loyalty to his creator kept him on Team Iron Man, while Spider-Man was the new recruit just happy to be involved.
Black Panther didn’t care about the Accords or the feud between Tony and Steve, he just wanted revenge for the death of his father, and this was the best way to get it. The wild card of the team however was Black Widow, who ended up double crossing Tony by allowing Steve and Bucky to escape them in Germany.
At the time, this was easily the side with the most fire power, and though they ultimately won the battle at the airport, they lost the war. Tony’s objective was to take Barnes to Thaddeus Ross, something that he failed to deliver.
