10 Gross Out Comedy Scenes That Made You Lose Your Lunch

2. Nick and Norah€™s Infinite Playlist (2008) €“ Caroline€™s Gum

nick and norah It would be just a standard, sweet teen romantic-comedy if it wasn€™t for this scene. The film follows heart-broken Nick (Michael Cera) and his new love interest Norah (Kat Dennings) on their search for a show by their favourite band and, ultimately, each other. However, the scene in question focusses on Norah€™s alcoholic friend, Caroline (Ari Graynor), who receives a phone-call from Norah to find out where she is. Unfortunately, Caroline is very drunk and in no fit state to talk, but this is obviously not why the scene is so disgusting. In her clumsy, drunk haze, Caroline answers the phone and immediately drops it into the depths of the vomit-covered toilet. In her despair, she also loses the gum that she had somehow kept in her mouth whilst she threw up. Now, any sane person would surely leave the phone and move on with their lives but not Caroline €“ she plunges her hand into the mix of now-brown toilet water and vomit to retrieve her phone. She then places the phone beside her ear, ready to have a conversation with Norah. If that, with all the lovely close-up shots of swilling brown toilet water, hasn€™t made you feel as if you want to throw up too; then what happens next definitely will. In a drunken panic, she sticks her hand back in the toilet to retrieve her gum. And then gingerly places it back into her mouth before resuming chewing. Sick bucket, anyone? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90bJ2NgcUp4
