Listed on a Marvel Movies fan page is the rumour that Korvac will be the main villain of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. The only other mentions of this idea seem to be in speculative 'who could be the villain?' articles, and one guessing-the-plot piece, so it seems like a major long shot.

But still, Korvac is a cool character that would blend wonderfully with wacky world of the Guardians. Michael Korvac, in the comics, is a computer technician from the future who is merged with his computer by aliens.

He becomes a master strategist, and develops the power to manipulate energy using his cyborg-like computer powers. He also gets to grips with cosmic entities, learning in the process to wield huge amounts of power.

Korvac would certainly be a suitable antagonist for the big screen Guardians, and the existence of a secret villain that's appeared in zero trailers is an exciting prospect, but sadly this is one to file under 'unlikely'. There have been no rumblings of casting news for a character like this, and Ayesha, the golden woman from the trailers, appears to be the big bad of the piece.
