10 Hardest To Watch Horror Movie Moments

6. Split Personality - Terrifier

Terrifier 2
Dread Central Presents

The moment in question cannot be shown here or even alluded to, for it involves too much violence and nudity.

With 2016's Terrifier, horror hounds were introduced to a villain that was far more than just your generic, formulaic, forgettable rogue. Instead, Art the Clown very much made his literal mark

Played brilliantly and chillingly by David Howard Thornton, Art carried out sordid act after twisted kill after sordid act after twisted kill. Terrifier started with smearing sh*t on a bathroom wall and some mild stalking, but then amped the action up to jarring levels of brutality.

Throughout Terrifier, pretty much everything Art does is brimming with sinister intentions and ends in someone's death, and the standout moment in that regard is the fate of Dawn (Catherine Corcoran). As Jenna Kanell's Tara wakes up bound to a chair, she sees her pal Tara naked and hung upside down.

What follows is one of most uncomfortable scenes in modern horror, as Art proceeds to use a rusty saw to slice Dawn in half from her nether-regions to her head. That act itself is obviously a grim one, but this whole scene is made infinitely worse by how said sawing takes two minutes to actually conclude, with Damien Leone's film lingering on this moment for full twisted effect.
