It wouldn't be a list without God himself on it. Morgan Freeman was only in four films in 2013, still more than some others, but they managed to gross $820million combined. Now that's not bad at all for a 76 year-old man who only started to get big roles in his early 50s. Morgan Freeman is just a legend, he has a natural acting talent that means he can play a fearsome superior in one film, like Olympus Has Fallen, and in the next film can play a warm and fuzzy grandfather figure like in Last Vegas. Now You See Me was his biggest hit in 2013, grossing almost $400million and surprising everyone in the industry, as it was a film with little marketing and wasn't a sequel or reboot, showing that sometimes audiences see films based on their favourite actors, not by being marketed to. It also proves that there isn't a person in the world that dislikes Morgan Freeman, it's just scientific fact. 2014 will see him vying with his Last Vegas co-star Robert De Niro for most films in a year, as he has 7 films in production, one of which is the much-anticipated Lego Movie, where he plays another God-like figure.

I also do stand-up comedy sometimes... I'm told I'm marginally funny.
