10 Harry Potter Moments You Never Knew Were Improvised
7. Draco Doesn't Know
The second entry in the franchise, 2002's The Chamber Of Secrets, unleashes the Heir of Slytherin and his deadly Basilisk upon Hogwarts.
Suspecting Draco Malfoy, and keen to get to the bottom of the mystery at the heart of the film, Harry and Ron slug some Polyjuice Potion and storm Slytherin Common Room disguised as Malfoy's henchmen, Crabbe (Jamie Waylett) and Goyle (Josh Herdman).
Before they can get their sizeable frames anywhere near the right end of the dungeons, however, they are intercepted by Ron's brother, Percy Weasley (Chris Rankin), and then Malfoy himself, who inquires about Goyle's new glasses, which Harry forgot to remove after the transformation.
Legend has it Tom Felton forgot his next line to Percy, after Harry/Goyle professes to be wearing the glasses for reading, and thus, on a spur of the moment, he delivered the immortal line, 'I didn't know you could read', accompanied by a surprisingly self-assured facial reaction.
A doozy, for sure. It seems all of the cast on Chamber brought their A-game, along with a notepad brimming with additional lines...
