10 Harry Potter Moments You Never Knew Were Improvised

4. Malfoy Pulls Crabbe

The final scene in Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets is a welcome return to normality - as well as the quite literal return of Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) to Hogwarts, having been released from the wizard prison Azkaban.

In a film plagued by student attacks, bloody messages, giant man-eating spiders, giant man-eating snakes and (often literal) darkness, the warm fuzzies of the end of term feast are well deserved. So potent a scene was this that some of the young cast lost themselves in the moment.

Hagrid enters the Great Hall to rapturous applause, built from a slow clap started by Dumbledore himself, and soon almost the entire hall is on its feet for a standing ovation. That is, except for Slytherin house, most of whom remain seated, looking glum.

Jamie Waylett (Crabbe), however, got so caught up in the moment, he started clapping along with the crowd and rose from the bench. Thinking on his feet and acting off the cuff, Tom Felton grabbed his companion by the tie and brought him back down to his seat with a thud.
