10 HATED Actors Everyone Was Wrong About

7. Kristen Stewart

Batman Twilight
Sony Pictures Releasing

The years after the Twilight franchise weren't kind to their stars. Forever trying to shake off the stigma of appearing in embarrassingly bland and cringey films is something every actor must overcome at some point, and poor Kristen Stewart had to not only escape the stigma of being Bella, she had to prove she had some range for a change.

It was strange, because even those who hadn't seen any of the Twilight films had passed judgement on her. Ignoring her performances in films like Adventureland, On The Road and even Panic Room, the public seemed poised to remind her for being in four films not everyone liked.

Perhaps it was films like On The Road and American Ultra that highlighted her talent for edgy work, but slowly fandom turned its head and Kristen Stewart was viewed in a different light. Her roles in Personal Shopper and Underwater let the world know that she can hold her own in intense scenes, the latter in particular indicating a new Sigourney Weaver could be on the horizon.

Kristen proved she wasn't one-note, and can even bring some charm to films like (the admittedly bad, but not her fault) Charlie's Angels remake, or J.T LeRoy

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
