The wonderful world of cinema releases a whole host of movies every single year. Some of these films will go on to receive rave reviews, win awards, and make lots of money for lots of people. Sadly, not every movie follows the same fate, with many relegated to the bargain bin, or much worse, lost from memory.
The worst thing is that not all of these movies deserve it. Many of them can actually be pretty good, in the right setting that is. It is worth noting that a movie can have a different impact with regards to where it is watched. In the cinema, a movie with a lot less action can seem deflated and boring whereas a movie with cars blowing up, guns going off, and people running all over the place can be a little too hectic in the comfort of your own home.
Movies can also be disowned and unfavoured due to bad timing, presumptions, and bad reviews. On the other hand, movies can be applauded by critics only to not quite resonate with those watching from the stalls.
The lesson here is to always remember that it is important to give things a second chance. You never know, you might end up with a new favorite film.
