It's impossible not to be enamoured with Young Guns' impressive ensemble cast, featuring the luminaries of the Brat Pack (Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland and company) and throwing in Jack Palance and Terrence Stamp for good measure. Described by one historian as the most accurate portray of the life of Billy The Kid, historical accuracy will probably be the last thing from your mind while watching Young Guns. Those who find Westerns to be "boring" will no doubt relish the playfulness with the material here, designed more to give the Brat Packers a forum to spar than offer any deep commentary on a time in America's lawless history. Young Guns might not redefine the genre, but when it comes to snappy dialogue and fast-paced action you can turn your brain off to it fires on all cylinders.
