Jordan Rubin's Zombeavers is a brilliantly bizarre - or bizarrely brilliant? - zombie movie with a twist. In case the title hasn't given it away, that twist is that the film centres on a bunch of zombie beavers.

When a group of your standard college kids head on out to a cabin next to a dam for a weekend away, things soon go array when these beavers rear their toothy heads. Prior to that, some toxic waste had made its way into the nearby river which housed these creatures and turned them into the zombified critters we now see.

Upon a first glance, our core characters initially believe that these beavers have merely got rabies. That stance completely changes, though, once the beavers cut the phonelines and start to stalk their prey. Before you know it, some of our protagonists are infected, and Hutch Dano's Sam even has his d**k bitten off by a zombified beaver-esque Jenn (Lexi Atkins).

Complete with a fantastic final sequence - and a post-credits scene hinting at a bee-based sequel - Zombeavers is nothing if not dumb fun. And let's face it, we could all do with some of that from time to time.
