10 High Concept Movies That Failed To Deliver

10. Jumper

What would you do if you discovered you had the ability to teleport at will? The possibilities such an ability would open up would be virtually endless, as you wrestled with your conscience and decided whether to put it to good use or selfish ends. It's a concept which could have been executed much better than it was in the final cut of Jumper, not least since Doug Liman is a director with a decent track record of high quality action movies. Unfortunately, once a few mysterious agencies were thrown into the plot everything started to become increasingly jumbled, while the characters were almost impossible to care for. Still, at least Doug Liman found more success with his most recent high concept action movie - the Tom Cruise vehicle Edge Of Tomorrow, with its playful twisting of the Groundhog Day concept of repeating the same day over and over again, married a great concept with thrills and excitement perfectly.
