The movie has done amazingly well all around the world, of course, and Furious 7 currently stands as the fourth-highest-grossing movie of all-time across the globe. But how did a franchise built around a certain kind of car-based Americanness manage to succeed overseas to such an extent that it has already outranked the likes of Titanic, Avatar, Transformers and China's own cinematic ventures?
