8. Fast & Furious 6
In 2001, teenagers every where fell in love with suped-up cars, promiscuous women, and the action of The Fast and The Furious. Soap Opera-name aside, the movie has evolved into a blockbuster worldwide franchise. Rumoured to be the first of a new story arc involving all the major players of the series, even a few dead ones, Fast and Furious 6 has a lot going for it. After Fast 5, it seemed like our heroes had found solace living their lives secluded around the world. But, looks like "The Rock" needs some help, and our heroes are ready to return home with pardons in exchange for their help. The muscle bound instalment promises to please with a impressive collection of action stars including Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Luke Evans (Immortals) and former MMA and Haywire star Gina Carano (Haywire). With ladies Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Gal Gadot, Elsa Pataky (google searches recommended) and musicians Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, and Ja Rule also on board, the film isn't short of notable cast members. The Fast & Furious franchise won't be thought-provoking, make a political statement, or even win any awards. The good thing is this franchise seems to know what it is, and that's pure popcorn summer entertainment.
