Giant Monsters? Badass. Giant Robots? Badass. Now whose more badass than giant monsters AND giant robots? Idris Elba, that's who. Director Guillermo del Toro brings us this epic struggle for Earth's survival after the planet is attacked by a giant alien threat. Idris Elba plays one of the pilots of the machines entrusted with our survival. This will be without a doubt del Toro's biggest movie yet. Joining Elba infront of the camera is Sons of Anarchy stars Ron Perlman and Charlie Hunnam, both are more than serviceable actors. The film itself looks terrifyingly epic as witness in del Toro's monsters. Not to be outdone, the robots are equally as imposing. One view of the trailer and the film's tagline "To fight monsters, we created monsters" is enough for me to be in line on opening day. This has been a passion project of Guillermo del Toro's for a number of years, as was Pan's Labyrinth (which was spectacular).
