Blackbeard's mission is to reach the Fountain of Youth within a fortnight, since it's prophecised that he will be killed by a one-legged man (Barbosa). Jack helps lead him there, hoping of course to drink from the Fountain himself. The problem here is that he really has no way of guaranteeing that Blackbeard himself won't get a hold of the Fountain first, and really takes no precautions to stop this from happening. If it weren't for the arrival of both Barbosa and the Spanish fleet at the Fountain shortly after Jack and Blackbeard's crew arrives, a big battle would not have commenced and Blackbeard probably would have succeeded. So, Jack would have been responsible for allowing one of the world's most ruthless pirates to gain eternal life. And there we have it! 10 highly questionable acts committed by everyone's favorite rapscallion. If it weren't for dumb luck, Jack would have caused a lot more problems than he solved. But we'd be forgetting one important thing, of course: he's Captain Jack Sparrow! Savvy?
