10 Highly Successful Actors Who Don't Actually Act
9. Adam Sandler
Adam Sandler is a man who has a genius formula for how to live the easy life, and that's all thanks to just being Adam Sandler. In the nineties, Sandler starred in a series of successful and genuinely funny comedies, like Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer, and people loved him for it. The new face of American comedy movies was loud, crude and simple, perfect for the decade in which he came around. However, twenty years later and Adam Sandler is still playing the loud, crude and simple man-child. In every. Single. Movie. His crimes against the art of filmmaking are numerous, particularly being capped off by the abhorration that was Jack & Jill, a vehicle so evil it even managed to muddy the reputation of Al Pacino. But it is the fact that he is not even trying to change his performances in the slightest which proves that he is not actually acting, even when he played his own twin sister in the aforementioned horror show, he was just as loud, just as crude and just as simple as he always is, only this time he had fake breasts. By far the most astounding thing about the fact that Sandler is just himself in every movie is the way in which everyone is aware of it, and yet his movies consistently make hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office. Who was the last person you can remember saying "Oh man, I'm so stoked to go see that new Adam Sandler movie"? Whoever it was better have been talking about Mr. Deeds, and even then, I'm sceptical. But kudos to where it's due, Mr. Sandler, you've become a millionaire simply for messing around in front of a camera for nearly thirty years.
