10 Highly Successful Actors Who Don't Actually Act

8. Jason Statham

Along with Vin Diesel, Jason Statham has become one of the new faces the action genre, and is immediately thrown into contention for pretty much every no-brainer movie about cars and explosions likely to made for the next fifteen years. However, unlike Vin Diesel, not only would it appear that Statham can't act, but also that he doesn't. The vast majority of Statham's films are direct-to-dvd releases or have one-word titles named after something which either sound action-y (Crank) or the name of the character Statham is meant to be portraying (Parker). The reason for this is that once you've seen one Statham film, you needn't worry yourself with watching another one, because he does exactly the same thing in every single one of them. Regardless of what nationality he's supposed to be, he still speaks with the same Ray Winstone-ish accent, he always wears some form of high collared jacket and has a tendency to turn and look over his shoulder in a dramatic, scowling fashion. Perhaps it is time to consider that Statham is not acting at all, and that a film crew is continually following his every move as he tracks down various villainous characters across the world. Maybe we are judging him all wrong, and that his entire life is just a much more violent imagining of The Truman Show.
