10 Highly Successful Actors Who Don't Actually Act
7. Hugh Grant
Hugh Grant is nothing short of a cinematic phenomenon. He is a man who has perfected the art of acting all awkward, flustered and above all else, very British in pretty much every single film he's ever appeared in. But the perfection to this is that nobody seems to mind this, because all of us, every single one, male, female, gay, straight or beastly inclined loves him. We can't help but find him remarkably charming in every way, through every stammered and stuttered speech he makes, we all go weak at the knees and just want to listen to him flap about a little bit more. I would go as far as saying that Hugh Grant did not make his actual acting debut until the 2013 sci-fi epic Cloud Atlas, wherein he had to play multiple characters, including a cannibal of the future. Even then, I imagine somebody tricked him into it by telling him that one of the characters was called Denholme Cavendish, which sounds delightfully English and therefore very much up his usual street. We don't get much of a glimpse into the cannibal's language, but I'd be willing to bet that the lady cannibals of the tribe find him frightfully sweet as he's picking apart the ribcage of a local villager.
