And finally, the greatest joke in any movies credits sequence has to be Hot Shots! effort. If you had the patience to watch through the credits on this 1991 Top Gun spoof, you will have found the most bizarre Easter Egg of all time (one that actually includes eggs, at that). Yep, after Charlie Sheen and the rest of the Hot Shots! cast have wrapped up their work, youll find among other jokey inserts a legitimate recipe for Nobby Buns hidden in the credits. Youll need flour, sugar, cinnamon, butter and three eggs to make your own Nobby Buns, as the film tells us. As funny as it is genuinely usable, this Easter Egg is bafflingly brilliant. No ones ever explained why its there, but I'm very glad that it is - it gets a laugh every time. Tom Cruise and Tony Scott never gave us any baking tips, did they? If thats your chosen way of judging films, then, Hot Shots! is arguably better than Top Gun itself. Err, okay Ill show myself out. Whats your favourite jokey Easter Egg from a movie credits sequence?
