10 Hilarious Easter Eggs Hidden In Movie Credits

2. Rocket And Groot Weren€™t Harmed - Guardians Of The Galaxy

A bit like Mr Popper€™s Penguins Jim-Carrey-getting-pecked-persistently gag, James Gunn€™s spacefaring superhero movie Guardians Of The Galaxy also had fun with the typical €˜no animals were harmed€™ tag that we€™ve grown accustomed to seeing at the end of movies with lots of animal cast members. Gunn seemed keen to mention in his closing credit that €œNo raccoons or tree creatures were harmed during the making of this film,€ clearly lampooning the usual credits cliché by referring back to his fictitious unearthly creature characters Rocket Racoon and Groot. Again, the key here is in this jokey Easter Egg€™s simplicity. As well as the inevitable post-credits sting, Gunn's Marvel Studios movie also threw in this short-but-sweet joke to reward those with the patience to wait through the entire credits. It was only one brief sentence long, but it still raised a chuckle.
