As expressive and unbridled as they may be, Kermode's 5 Live outbursts are still gems of articulation. But in his Kermode Uncut review of the 2009 Transformers sequel, words simply fail the critic. Channelling Michael Bay's love of loud crashes and banging, Mark imitates the sound of giant robots hurling each other into buildings by banging his head against various objects for a solid minute, telling us all we need to know about the film. Sometimes a rant just won't cut it. The news of a Transformers 4 in 2012 resulted in a similarly hilarious and percussive reaction as Kermode destroyed a laptop by smacking his head against it.
