1. The George Lucas Special Edition
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v93Jh6JNBng Regardless of what The Force Awakens trailer contained, people were cautiously optimistic about the existence of new Star Wars films thanks to one factor in particular: George Lucas was not going to be involved. Yes, the man technically created the whole thing from scratch to begin with, but he was semi-hands-off for the best parts of the original trilogy, and in complete control of the extricable prequel trilogy. Perhaps his worst crime, in the eyes of the fanboys anyway, was the Special Editions of the original trilogy, which messed up the pure, simple mythology by cluttering scenes with CGI nonsense and insisting Hayden Christensen's ghost haunt every frame. So of course, when J.J. Abrams' vision appears to be hewing closer to the originals, someone had to go and produce a George Lucas Special Edition. Featuring Jabba The Hutt. C-3PO, somebody shooting Oscar Isaac first, and even trade negotiations. Pretty sick burn. And totally hilarious. Any more parody trailers you want to share? Which fan-made version is your favourite? Have your say in the comments.
